About Dr Lorenzo Grispan’s History
He spent time in rural Mpumalanga working in the Emergency Department of Embhuleni Provincial Hospital overseeing the day to day running of the department.
While working there he simultaneously completed courses in:
- Basic Life Support
- Basic Point of Care Ultrasonography
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- Advanced Medical Life Support
- Advanced Paediatric Life Support
- Advanced Trauma Life Support.
He was employed in the Chris Hani Baragwanath Medical Emergency Unit as a Medical officer where he was part of a team that attended to the medical emergencies on a day to day basis.
It was here where he discovered his passion for emergency medicine and ultrasonography which lead him to complete courses in Basic Assessment and support in Intensive Care and Level 1 point of care ultrasonography.
2023Fun Fact!
Dr Lorenzo Grispan is also an active member of the Italian South African community with links to the youth association and the committee of Italians Living Abroad.
He can often be seen involved in various initiatives in the community that promote the language and culture in a South African context.
This enables him to consult patients in English, Italian, basic Afrikaans and isiZulu.
